NEW AMPHIBIOUS VEHICLE TO DEBUT AT
LONG BEACH BOAT SHOW

Water or Land....It's All the Same to the New "Python" WaterCar

Drive it from your house to your favorite launch ramp and just keep on going.  From garage to asphalt to water, it doesn't make any difference to the new "Python" Watercar by March.  It's both street-legal and ready to cruise your favorite lake or river.  More than five years in the making, the new "Python" will make its official public debut at the 40th Annual International Sail and Power Boat Show. The "Python" is a comfortable 5-6 passenger vehicle that looks a little like a hybrid between a convertible SUV and a pick-up truck, except it floats.  It is powered by a 400+ horsepower Chevrolet Corvette V-8 engine and receives its on-water thrust from a water-jet propulsion system.  In addition to its obvious versatility, the "Python"  runs in excess of 100 miles an hour on land and nearly 50 mph on the water.  It also has the capability of pulling a water skier or wakeboarder too.   See it first at the Long Beach Boat Show, October 2-5!

SOLIDNAV DEBUTS “GREEN” ENGINE TECHNOLOGY AT THE INTERNATIONAL SAIL AND POWERBOAT SHOW IN LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA

-- Explorer and Traveler Marine Engines to Highlight Show --

Long Beach, CA (September 30, 2008) – SolidNav, the marine industries leading manufacturer of electric engine solutions, today announced the company is debuting its clean technology marine engines at the 2008 International Sail and Powerboat Show. As part of the company’s official outreach program, SolidNav is introducing its “green” product line-up that includes the industries first production ready electric engine platform for sailboats and small watercraft – the SolidNav Traveler™ and the SolidNav Explorer™. Media and consumers can visit SolidNav in the Mechanical Advantage Booth, numbers 216 & 218.

“The marine industry has often been overlooked or passed by with regards to identifying new alternative energy sources. At SolidNav, our main objective was to identify and apply our engineering expertise in to building climate-friendly forms of marine propulsion,” said Jason Russell, president of SolidNav. “Our products are not only available today, but they are legitimate alternatives to the traditional gas-powered engines.”

SolidNav began its research and development process on its electric technology in 2005. Over the past three years the company has worked to develop the Traveler and Explorer, officially going on sale in 2008.

SolidNav Explorer
The Explorer is SolidNav’s halo product and the talk of the marine industry. For years, boating enthusiasts have relied on petroleum-based engine applications to power their boats. For the first time in marine history, the SolidNav Explorer is the first mass produced electric engine solution for sailboats. Equivalent to a 24 horsepower diesel engine, the Explorer is 100% battery powered. Optimized for efficient cruising, the Explorer provides the power for your under thirty-three foot sailing vessel. The powerful 4KW sparkless drive provides a safe, clean alternative to messy fossil fuel usage in one convenient drop-in package. The SolidNav engineering team created an industry-first common cable mounting system to be utilized with your existing controls. To ensure proper placement and fitting, SolidNav created a haul-out free shaft coupling system and a flex bracket system to allow alignment in almost any existing engine compartment. The price is another feature that makes the Explorer attractive. $4,995 includes the engine and mounting system.

SolidNav Traveler
The Traveler has been designed for sailboats, pontoon boats and small watercraft. Weighing less than 60 pounds, the Traveler is the ideal engine solution for short term motoring and is a viable electric option for sailboats. With a long shaft and remote engine control, the Traveler makes docking enjoyable without the concern of lethal oil sheens and clouds of foul smelling fumes. The cost of the Traveler is what makes it even more appealing to the sailing enthusiast. With a low price of $2,499, you will never need to fill up with gas again.

With sales continuing to climb, SolidNav can now be found in more than 30 retail outlets on the West Coast. Warranty for SolidNav products is 1 year from date of purchase.
